Happy birthday, Aamir Khan. Our song of the day is ‘Aye Mere Humsafar’ from the 1988 blockbuster Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the film that made Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla hugely popular.
Aamir has had 30 years as an actor in cinema, and has also taken on the roles of co-writer, director and producer on some films. Qayamat Se… was his cousin Mansoor Khan’s first directorial. It set a trend for the romantic films of the next decade, including Aamir’s own Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.
