Tamannaah To Star In Pelli Choopulu Remake

Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in for the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster Pelli Choopulu. The remake will be bankrolled by Gautham Menon. The original starred Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma, and was praised for its fresh take on love and a gripping screenplay.

As per a report in the Deccan Chronicle, producer Senthil Veerasamy will be directing the film. Menawhile, Bhatia said she was thrilled to be a part of the project. She said, “Yes, I am doing the Tamil remake and I am excited to be a part of it.” A source close to the film also added, “Since the film has more acting scope for the heroine, we have roped in Tamannaah to play the role. Currently, the pre-production is going and we are eager to finalise a hero for this untitled film. We are considering three leading heroes for the remake. An official announcement will follow soon.”

Tamannaah has signed back to back films recently. She will play the character Kangna Ranaut played in the Tamil remake of Ranaut’s Queen. The remake will be directed by Revathy. She is also awaiting the release of director Adhik’s Anbaanavan Asaraadhavan Adangaadhavan and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion
