A special postal stamp will be launched later today to commemorate Actor Nagarjuna’s 57th birthday. The stamp will feature a photograph of Nagarjuna standing in front of a mic. A stamp featuring the Taj Mahal has also been affixed to it.
The stamp pays tribute to Nagarjuna’s singer avatar. He recorded a track for the film Nirmala Convent after 17 years recently.
Nagarjuna’s sons – Actors Naga Chaithanya and Akhil, will launch the stamp later today. “This stamp articulates Telugu film industry’s music skills through the voice of versatile artist like Nagarjuna and his admiration for fine lyrics and music composition,” Naga Chaitanya and Akhil said in a statement.
According to reports, a total of 10,000 postal stamps have been printed.
Meanwhile, the Premam team and its hero, Naga Chaithanya have released an edited video of the Evarey song from the film.

Nagarjuna has had a prolific career thus far. He has acted in over ninety films in the lead role and has received nine state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and a Special Mention at the National Film Awards. He has also been a part of Hindi films like LOC Kargil, Zakhm and Tamil films Ratchagan and Thozha that released earlier this year. A few of his dubbed releases like Udhayam and Idhayathai Thirudathey were successful in Tamil Nadu as well.
