Keerthy Suresh will play the female lead in the Telugu film, Nenu Local. Starring Nani, the film is a romantic comedy and is directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina of Nuvvala Nenila (2013) fame. The movie, produced by Dil Raju, will have music by Devi Sri Prasad. Nenu Local is Keerthy’s first film with Nani, and her second Telugu film. She made her Telugu debut with the critically acclaimed Nenu Sailaja, opposite Ram Pothineni.

Keerthy Suresh began her career as a child artist, working in Malayalam films such as Pilots and Kuberan. She made her debut as a lead actress with Priyadarshan’s Geethanjali in 2013, for which she won Asianet’s Best New Face of The Year and the SIIMA.

She made her Tamil debut with Rajini Murugan. In the rural romance, she was cast opposite actor Sivakarthikeyan. Following its release, she signed a slew of films. Chief among them is Vijay 60, in which she shares screen space with actor Vijay. There’s also the highly anticipated Remo, which has her teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan once again. The film will release in October 2016.
Nani has also had a few successful releases this year, including his last Telugu film Gentleman with actresses Niveda Thomas and Surabhi. Nani is currently filming for his next, Majnu. Directed by Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampala fame, Majnu is all set for a September release.
