Sethupathi Will Be Remade In Telugu

Vijay Sethupathi and Ramya Nambeesan’s film Sethupathi will be remade in Telugu. Sethupathi was one of the biggest box-office hits of 2016. It was also SU Arun Kumar’s second directorial venture after Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum.

However, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle Arun Kumar said he won’t be directing the remake. He said, “I am glad that my film has impressed many people across the country. Two months back, a team approached me for a possible remake. We had script discussions and I gave my inputs for the remake. However, I won’t be helming it.”

Reports suggest that Ganta Ravi Teja will play the role of a cop, originally played by Vijay Sethupathi. Pre-production has begun for the project and an official announcement is expected shortly.

Arun Kumar is also planning another action film with Vijay Sethupathi. He said, “I am in talks with Vijay Sethupathi for the film. But, nothing has been finalised now and it will at least take a week to confirm anything about the project.”
