Actor Ram Charan is likely to produce Akhil Akkineni’s next film directed by Vikram Kumar through his Konidela Production Company.
In addition to this, Ramcharan will also reportedly produce his friend Sharwanand’s film.
Akhil’s next project has been going through many obstacles since it’s announcement. The actor made his debut in the film Akhil- The Power of Jua last year. Produced jointly by actor Niithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy under their banner – Sresht Films, the film had Sayesha Saigal as the female lead and music composed by Anup Rubens. The fantasy film directed by VV Vinayak, failed to impress the audience and critics.
Akhil’s second film was supposed to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, but the director pulled out of the project, after confirming a film with Mahesh Babu.
Later, the actor announced that Hanu Raghavapudi will direct the film. Hanu had signed a three film contract with 14 Reels production. But, Akhil wanted this film to be made under a different banner. As they were unable to resolve this issue, the project has been put on hold.

Finally, Vikram Kumar confirmed that he will be directing the film with actress Megha Akash in the lead. Vikram Kumar had earlier directed the Akkineni family – Nageshwar Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in the fantasy drama Manam. Akhil had done a special appearance in the film.
Ram Charan is currently producing Khaidi No 150. The film, an official remake of Kaththi, has Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Kajal Aggarwal is the female lead in the mega-budget project.
