Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has been an active user on Twitter lately, where he has been slamming several Telugu news channels including TV9, ABN Andhra Jyothi and TV5. His grouse with the news channels is to do with the fact that they have been telecasting videos of actress Sri Reddy, who recently rallied against the casting couch in the industry, abusing PK’s mother on record.
Since last week, with numerous cryptic tweets about the people who own the news channel and tweeting details about their investment, PK has also been imploring fans to boycott the channels. The actor on Monday also announced that he will form a committee for the protection of self-respect of women working in the film industry, which will be supported by the women’s wing of Jana Sena.
Early this morning, the he has been on a roll tweeting about TV9 channel in particular.

He further slammed board member Srini Raju for airing objectionable content.
“Srini Raju You are a Board member & Benefactor of globally reputed ISB which has strict rules for discrimination and indecency. But as a major owner of TV9 you allow airing objectionable content. Plz hold the dignity of such premier organisations [sic],” he wrote.

The actor-politician boycotting the news channels started soon after Sri Reddy abused his mother on record after he advised the actress for taking her fight against casting couch the legal route as opposed to heading to news channels.
“If I cannot defend the honour of my mother, I better die,” he tweeted on Friday, before vowing to wage a war against those repeatedly telecasting the clip.
