According to a report in The Times Of India, talks are on with Kalyanram to reprise the role of his late father Nandamuri Harikrishna in the biopic. It is said that the biopic will trace the life of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, touching upon the professional and the personal. Harikrishna had supported his father in his political career, and his character is said to be of great importance in the film. He died in a car accident near Hyderabad yesterday after suffering fatal injuries to the head and chest.

Meanwhile, in August, Rana Daggubati confirmed that he will play Chandrababu Naidu, who is also NTR’s son-in-law. It was earlier reported that Vidya Balan will be playing the role of NTR’s wife, Basavatarakam and Rakul Preet Singh will play Sri Devi in the biopic.

The film will also star Manjima Mohan, Sumanth, Prakash Raj, veteran actor Kaika and Keerthy Suresh in key roles. It is produced by NTR’s son Balakrishna – who also plays the titular role – and Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati.
