Actress Mehreen Pirzada who was last seen in the Bollywood movie Phillauri, has reportedly been replaced in her next Telugu move, starring Varun Tej. A Deccan Chronicle report states that the actress had date issues and the makers are now looking for a replacement to play the female lead.

The film will be directed by Atluri Venkat. The report cites a source saying, “It is a romantic love story and the director wants a lean looking girl.” The makers may also rope in a new face from Mumbai if they cannot decide on a suitable actress from the South.
Mehreen Pirzada marked her Telugu debut with the movie Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha and moved on to Bollywood to act in Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri.
