Junior NTR’s Janatha Garage, which was scheduled to release on September 2, has advanced its release date by a day, probably to take advantage of the long weekend. The film will be released on September 1, Thursday.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie has Samantha and Nithya Menen playing the female leads. Actress Samatha confirmed the news on her Twitter account.

The movie has actor Mohanlal and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan playing father and son. The movie will be simultaneously dubbed and released in Malayalam. Mohanlal has bought the rights of its Malayalam version.
This movie is said to be a family drama that revolves around two cousins. Talking to ToI, the director said, “The movie is a high emotional entertainer with a large span that suits the image of hero Jr NTR and satisfies his fans. Our producers are ready to release the movie on September 1”.

One of the high points of the movie is said to be actress Kajal Aggarwal’s special dance number. Most of the film was shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai, with few portions shot in Chennai and Kerala. The movie has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
The satellite rights of the movie fetched Rs 12.5 crores – the highest amount that a Jr NTR’s film has earned so far. The film, which bagged a U/A certificate for its Telugu version, went to the regional censor board of Kerala yesterday for certification.
Currently, the team of the movie is occupied with promotional events for the film.
