DVV Danayya Dismisses Rumours Of Not Paying Kiara Advani For ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’

DVV Danayya, the producer of Bharat Ane Nenu, on Tuesday dismissed rumours of him not remunerating the film’s lead Kiara Advani and director Koratala Siva for their work in the film.

Danayya’s assistant, speaking to Silverscreen, said that the rumours were the work of a section of media who thrive on spreading false information. “There is an intent to destroy the reputation and goodwill that Danayya and DVV Entertainment have in the industry. All cast and crew members involved in the project have been fully paid. News reports that say otherwise are wrong. If the members concerned continue to spread the rumours, then the team will take legal action.”

“We were forced to issue a clarification only because the news was getting out of hand. It is potentially damaging to a studio that has major projects in the future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Advani, through a press release, said: “Shocked to see baseless allegations being levelled against DVV Entertainments and Danayya garu. I have had the pleasure of working in back to back films with such a professional production house. Why would anybody take up their immediate next project with the same production house if there really is an issue. I look forward to work with Danayya garu in their next venture too.”

Advani has been cast in Danayya’s next production along with actor Ram Charan. A spokesperson for Siva refused to comment.
A source who worked on the film, however, had something else to say. “Some of the crew members have not been paid. We have repeatedly sought meetings with the production house, but to no avail.”
A spokesperson for Mahesh Babu had no comment to offer as well.
The film had released earlier this year, and proved to be successful at the box office. It was critically acclaimed as well.
