When NTR took up the mantle of hosting the first ever season of Bigg Boss Telugu, there obviously was a great deal of excitement. What followed was quite a successful stint with record number of TRPs being recorded as well. But in an unexpected twist of events, the actor decided to opt out of the second season of the show. Buzz is that he wanted to spend time with Lakshmi Pranathi, who’s expecting the couple’s second child.
While it is quite a tough task to look for a replacement, the most popular actor amongst the younger lot, Nani, has been brought on board to replace NTR as the host. Well, only time will tell if he will be able to reimagine the show from a new perspective and offer the audience a reason to watch, after they have become used to seeing NTR on screen. However, the buzz is that Nani has begun shooting for the show recently.

But, it turns out there is no truth to that information. Reveals a source from the production team, “Yes, Nani has been brought on board for sure. But he won’t start shooting anytime soon. Pre-production is on, and the list of contestants for the show will have to be finalized. This time it is going to be bigger because even commoners are being invited to be a part of the show, which saw only celebrities in the first edition. We are counting on Nani’s spontaneity and comic timing to give a boost to the show. And he will begin shooting sometime in June.”
