Reports have been doing the rounds that music composer Anirudh Ravichander does not want to work with actor Dhanush, anymore. ‘Why this kolaveri di?’, a viral hit from the film 3, was Anirudh’s musical debut paved way for the 26-year-old music director’s entry to Kollywood. The duo have since teamed up and delivered a string of musical hits together.

At a college event in Chennai, the Maari music composer was asked why he wasn’t working with Dhanush off late. In reply, Anirudh said, “He is always a well-wisher. He is one person who believed in me when I did not believe in myself.” He added that the audience might lose interest if the duo kept working on back to back projects, as there will not be anything new or refreshing to look forward to. “So we are just taking a short break and after 4 to 5 films, we will work again in the future, ” he further added.
Anirudh is presently awaiting the release of Rum, Thala 57, actor Sivakarthikeyan’s next with Jayam Raja and Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Kootam.
