Actor Vikram will be playing the lead in director Vijay Chander’s next film. A press release from the movie’s PRO stated that the film will be produced by SFF Production. The film is expected to go on floors soon.

Vijay Chander previously directed Vaalu, starring Simbu. The film released in August 2015.

“The film’s title, cast annd crew details will be announced shortly. Vikram is known for taking up different characters, and offbeat stories, so one can expect this film to have a different story too,” said the press statement.

Although Vikram has not begun filming any new film post Iru Mugan, the actor has signed on films like Garuda, directed by Thiru and Saamy 2 directed by Hari.

In August, it was reported that Garuda has been delayed as the film failed to take off due to production issues. The film’s production will begin early next year, once the financial aspects of the project have been sorted out.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that actor Vikram is in talks to star in the remake of Hollywood film Don’t Breathe. Vikram will reportedly reprise actor Stephen Lang’s role in the film. Stephen Lang played a blind assassin in the project, and it is believed that this aspect of the role drew Vikram to it.
