Vijay Sethupathi Out Of Vada Chennai

Vijay Sethupathi is no longer a part of Vetri Maaran’s gangster trilogy Vada Chennai. While the film is a multi-starrer, Dhanush plays the main lead. According to an assistant director on the project, “Vijay Sethupathi had given us dates three times. But we could not film it, since the film’s lead Dhanush was not available. Now that Vijay has four back-to-back films, he could not afford to give us new dates anymore!”

Vada Chennai‘s filming had been put on hold, so as to allow its male lead to finish his directorial debut Power Paandi. Now, Dhanush has begun shooting Velayilla Pattathari -2 with Soundarya Rajinikanth. This has irked director Vetrimaaran, who has waited for close to three months for Dhanush to start Vada Chennai, insiders say.

Meanwhile, the team is looking for an actor to take Vijay Sethupathi’s place in the film.

Sethupathi is currently shooting for Kavan, which stars his Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum co-star Madonna Sebastian. He is also shooting for Vikram Vedha with Madhavan.
