SJ Surya In Talks To Play Villain In ‘Vijay 61’

SJ Surya is in talks to play the negative role in Vijay 61. The movie is Atlee and Vijay’s second outing together after Theri. Actresses Jyothika, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal have been signed on for the lead roles as well.

A spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen, “At present, it is too early to confirm whether SJ Suryah will join the film. We are in discussions with him, and will announce everything formally soon.”

The movie is produced by Sri Thenandal Films and is all set to go on floors on February 2017. It is slated to release during the Navaratri holidays.

At present, actor Vijay is gearing up for the Pongal release of his 60th movie, Bairavaa. SJ Suryah directed Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in the 2000 blockbuster Kushi. The duo even shared screen space in Shakar’s Nanban. 

Meanwhile, SJ Surya is gearing up to play villain in AR Murugadoss’ bi-lingual with Mahesh Babu. The actor-director is also in talks to direct a new film, reports say.
