Hip Hop Tamizha’s Aadhi Made Acting Debut Thanks To Sundar C

Hip Hop Tamizha’s Aadhi makes his acting debut with Meesaya Murukku. The film sees the 25-year-old musician turn director, too. In a recent interview, Aadhi revealed that the film would not have materialised if not for director Sundar C. “As an independent artiste and composer, I was happy directing music videos. I had directed a music video on the ban on Jallikattu, and it was after seeing my work that Sundar sir insisted that I act,” Adhi told IANS.

Sundar C has produced the film under his Avni Movies banner. “I pitched the story to him and he immediately agreed to produce it. Since it’s my story, I had decided to direct it on my own. I felt I could do justice to my story more than anyone else. Sundar sir supported my decision,” he said.

Meesaya Murukku is allegedly based on incidents from Aadhi’s life. Aathmika is the female lead in the project, while Vivekh plays Aadhi’s father.
