Dhruva Natchathiram is yet to go on floors, but director Gautham Menon is so confident of the project that he has already announced its release date.
The first look poster of the project featured a grizzly Vikram and announced that the film would release in August this year.
Interestingly, because Gautham Menon also plans to release Enai Nokki Paayum Thota in February 2014, this makes it two Gautham Menon films in the same year, a first for the director.
A spokesperson for Gautham Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment, which is producing both the films, told Silverscreen, “Dhruva Natchathiram will begin later this month. A photoshoot was done with Vikram recently, and some more look tests will be conducted soon.”

According to reports, the team is also on the lookout for a fresh face to act as the female lead. Additionally, Aditi Rai Hydari is said to be in talks to star in the film.
Dhruva Natchathiram was floated in 2013 with Suriya as the lead. However, the project was dropped after the actor walked off. Menon revived it in 2016 and announced that Vikram would star as the male lead.
