What can one say about this song that does not come across as gushing, fawning, fangirl hyperventilation? A classic film that used visual effects that was ahead of its time, and “trick photography” effectively to create a magical, wonderful, wonderous Ghatotkacha played by SV Ranga Rao. An amazing Savithiri who switches body-language so easily between graceful princess and magical rakshasa, beautiful shots of great food (and this is in B&W), and such a hummable melody. When they make a list of the greatest film songs, “Vivaga Bhojanambu” needs to be right on top.
