Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah Bhatia will play the leads in the Tamil remake of Pellichoopulu. Titled ‘Pon Ondru Kanden‘, the film will be directed by Senthil Veerasamy. Gautham Menon is on board as producer through his Ondraga Entertainment.
Veerasamy is a long-time associate of Gautham Menon. He produced Rajathandhiram through his White Bucket Productions and also has a major role in Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thota.

A spokesperson for Ondraga told Silverscreen, “We are happy and excited to be producing the Tamil remake of Pellichoopulu. At present, we’re casting the supporting roles in the project. Some minor changes are also being made to the script to make sure that the Tamil audience likes it.”
Pellichoopulu is a new-age romantic comedy that took the Telugu box office by storm last year. Made on a budget of Rs 1.35 crores, the film went on to rake over Rs 40 crores at the box office.
