Actor Vishal, who was determined not to get married until the Nadigar Sangam building was done, hinted about a wedding in the offing at a recent event. Speaking at the trailer launch of Thupparivaalan, producer Nandhakumar of Madras Enterprises compared Vishal to Kamaraj. “He hasn’t married yet, and is working hard for the betterment of the film industry,” he said.

Vishal, reacting to Nandakumar’s statement, declared: “I will definitely be as honest as Kamaraj, but, I want a married life, too. The ‘lakshmigaramaana‘* girl will be angered by such talk.”

While Vishal did not reveal the identity of his bride, the reporters and other attendees present at the event managed to ‘decode’ the actor’s statement.

Vishal plays Kaniyan Poongunran, a detective, in Thupparivaalan. About the film, Vishal said, “This will be yet another important film in my career. I have done a fight sequence with Vietnamese fighters, and it would be a visual treat. Mysskin has put in a lot of effort to give me a different look in the film. When it was launched, there were many negative comments, but here we are! We have completed the film and it has turned out exceptionally well.”

He also spoke about piracy. “I took the detective role in my film seriously, and it helped me trace the thief in real life as well. I have managed to trace the people involved in piracy and they will be caught in a couple of weeks.”

Vishal also has Prabhu Deva’s Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja in the making, and the Malayalam film, Villain. Mysskin, meanwhile, has Savarakkathi, in which he plays the lead.
