Putting rest to speculations, actor Vishal took to Twitter to claim that the team of Sandakozhi 2 has not approached Samantha or Tamannaah for the lead role. He also added that the team is working on the final draft of the script. Pre-production work of the movie will begin shortly and the rest of the cast and crew will be announced once finalized.

Directed by Lingusamy, Sandakozhi 2 is a sequel to Sandakozhi, an important film in both Lingusamy and Vishal’s career. Actress Meera Jasmine, who played the lead role in the prequel, has been roped in for a cameo role in the sequel. Actor Soori and music director D Imman are part of the Sandakozhi 2 team.
