Thuppakki Munai’s teaser features a bearded Vikram Prabhu who believes that every bullet in his pistol carries the horoscope of the man it is meant to kill. This, however, is not a watertight theory. There is one case that’s an exception to Vikram Prabhu’s theory, and that forms the crux of Thuppakki Munai.
High-speed car chases and action sequences follow. Hansika Motwani, the movie’s female lead, makes an appearance in what looks like a flashback portion, but doesn’t quite have anything important to say. Velu Ramamoorthy, MS Bhaskar feature in the teaser as well.
Dinesh Selvaraj, a former assistant of Mani Ratnam, directs this action thriller that is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations. Bhuvan Srinivasan, who worked on Arima Nambi, Imaikkaa Nodigal, is the editor for the film.

According to a press release, Vikram Prabhu plays an encounter specialist in the film. He is trigger happy, and from what we can see in the teaser, he is only too happy to shoot down the bad guys rather than put them behind bars.
The film’s tagline – ‘Each bullet has a story’ – accurately describes the film’s premise, according to the producer. “The bullets that are fired from Vikram Prabhu’s gun have a purpose. Thuppakki Munai delves into this purpose and shows us why Vikram Prabhu has gotten himself into this situation. The screenplay is racy and will engage the audience,” Thanu said.
Rasamathi is the cinematographer of this film. LV Muthu Ganesh takes care of the songs while Pulamaipithan and Pa Vijay write the lyrics. Thanu says that the film’s audio will be launched later this year. A release date for the movie is yet to be announced.
