Ever since the announcement of the sequel of Thamizh Padam, fans and audience of Tamil cinema have been waiting for the arrival of the movie and the makers of the film have now released the teaser of the sequel. Titled Thamizh Padam 2, the film features actor Shiva, who’s reprising the charcater Shiva from the first part.
Released in 2010, Thamizh Padam is a spoof movie, which mocks the stereotypical scenes, contemporary commercial films and actors of Tamil cinema. The second part is no different from the first one. The tagline of the film is Thamizh Padam 2: Police Athiyayam, which literally means the police chapter. The teaser starts with an emotional Shiva, taking an oath to become a police officer in Tamilnadu. What follows from there on is a series of scenes which mocks some of the recent hit films in Tamil cinema.

The audience can spot some of the favourite movies from the recent past starting from Ajith satrrer Vivegam and Mankatha, Vijay’s Mersal, last year’s cop thriller Vikram Vedha and Suriya starrer science-fiction film 24. The film also features Iswarya Menon, Disha Pandey, Sathish, Santhana Bharathi and Manobala among others. Written and directed by C. S. Amudhan, the film is produced by S. Sashikanth.
Music composed by N. Kannan and cinematography by Gopi Amarnath. Previously before the teaser, a lyrical-video song from the film titled ‘Evada Unna Petha’ was released as a promotion for the movie and crossed over a million in its view.
