Surabhi Excited To Join Cast Of GV Prakash Kumar’s Adangathey

The newest cast member on board GV Prakash Kumar’s next film is actress Surabhi. Adangathey will be directed by debutant Shanmugan Muthuswamy. The film, reportedly a revenge-thriller, has actor Sarath Kumar in a dual role and is being bankrolled by MS Sharavanan of Sri Green Productions.

According to the initial announcement from the team, actress Vaibhavi Shandilya would play the lead. However, reports suggest that Surabhi has been roped in to replace her.

When contacted by Silverscreen.in, Surabhi refused to confirm these reports. Talking of her role, she said, “I play a cute, modern girl in this film. I’m very excited to be pairing up with GV Prakash because all his films have this fun, fresh vibe to it. I am sure Adangathey too will have the same feel to it.”

Surabhi also praised director Shanmugan, “I was very impressed by the way Shanmugan narrated the script to me. He is a very fun, friendly person, and I am very excited to begin the project.”

Surabhi was last seen on screen in Jai’s Pugazh. She made her debut with director Saravanan’s Ivan Vera Mathiri alongside Vikram Prabhu. Following her Telugu movie debut with Beeruva, she has established a strong foothold in both industries.

Adangathey will reportedly feature GV Prakash as a Muslim mechanic lost in Kasi. Thambi Ramaiah, Robo Shankar, RJ Blade Shankar, RJ Mirchi Vijay, and Arun Raja Kamaraj play supporting roles.

Actor Sathyaraj is also rumoured to be part of the cast.
