Actress Sshivada Nair has been roped in to play the female lead in a crime thriller. Titled Kattam, the project will be directed by Rajan Madhav. Madhav earlier made Muran and Ula. Kattam marks his third as director.
Nandhan, a debutant, plays the male lead along with Nivas.

“Kattam is a crime thriller with a social message. The plot revolves around four characters (played by Nandhan, Nivas, Sshivada and a clown) who get locked up in a building. How they get out of it forms the story. We have wrapped up the film and it was primarily shot in and around Chennai.”
Madhav also revealed that he wrote the film with four characters to match its title. “The word Kattam (grid in English) has four edges and that’s the reason I’ve written the script with four characters. It will be an engaging racy thriller,” he further stated.
Kattam has music by Naveen and JC Paul while the camera has been cranked by Demel Xavier Edwards.
