Actor Sarathkumar, the incumbent president of Nadigar Sangam, has filed a defamation case against actor Vishal and S.Ve.Sekar, claiming Rs.10 crores, for wrongly accusing him of procuring illegal gains over a contract with SPI Cinemas to build a mall in the disputed land owned by Sangam, in Chennai’s T Nagar area.

Earlier, Radhika Sarathkumar had demanded an apology from Vishal, Nasser and their team Pandavar Ani. Sarathkumar said that he might never be able to work with a few actors, and added that the Sangam would not function coherently like before, even after the elections.
The Pandavar Ani and its supporters are yet to respond to the chain of events. The Nadigar Sangam elections are to be held on the 18th of October at Chennai.
