And, the wait is finally over! In the run-up to actor Vijay’s birthday tomorrow, the first look of his much-anticipated film Sarkar was released on Thursday.
While most filmmakers take to social media to reveal the film’s first look, director AR Murugadoss stepped away from the wave, and telecast the first look of the film on Sun TV.

The poster features a rough and tough Vijay standing tall amid a collage of high rise buildings. From the looks of it, the film seems like an action entertainer.
AR Murugadoss earlier tweeted: “Happy Diwali.” (The film is slated to release during the festival). At present, Vijay’s work-in-progress film is being popularly called Thalapathy 62, as it’s his 62nd film.

After the chartbusting score of Mersal, musician A R Rahman teams up once again with Vijay for Sarkar. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, and actors Pala Karuppiah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi and Yogi Babu play supporting roles.
