Salim will release this Independence Day alongside Suriya’s Anjaan. The film’s producer, Studio 9 Suresh announced the news on his Facebook page. Directed by NV Nirmal Kumar, a former associate of Bharathiraja, the movie is said to be a sequel to the thriller Naan. Vijay Antony plays the titular role in the film alongside Aksha Pardasany. Vijay Antony has also composed music and co-produced the film with Studio 9 and Sri Green Productions. The audio was launched recently and the soundtrack has found moderate success. The post production work for the movie is almost done and the film is expected to go to the censors soon.
Salim was earlier scheduled to hit theatres over the Ramzan weekend, but the makers decided to postpone the release for reasons undisclosed.
