It’s a wrap for Rajinikanth in Kaala. The superstar has completed shooting for his portions of the film. But Ranjith and his team will continue to shoot in Chennai and Mumbai in the coming weeks.

A source from the film’s unit told Silverscreen, “Ranjith is currently canning scenes that does not involve Rajini. He will shoot till October 15 in Chennai and after that, they will head to Mumbai to shoot the last five days of Kaala. Rajini is done with his shoot for Kaala and he will not head to Mumbai. If needed, he might have to go for patchwork.”
Team Kaala has been shooting in EVP, Chennai for the past couple of months. Though the shoot was disrupted twice due to the strike, the crew managed to complete the Chennai schedule as per plan.
Rajinikanth is currently in Mumbai shooting for a song in Shankar’s 2.o. Kaala is expected to hit the screens before 2.o.
