Puli Release Pushed To October 1

The release date of director Chimbu Deven’s upcoming film Puli, which was initially September 17, has now been pushed to October 1, confirmed the production house SKT Studios via Twitter.

Several sources claim that the delay in VFX and CG works is the reason behind the postponement. Currently, the post production works of Puli is going on. Reportedly, as soon as the new release date of Puli was announced, several film-makers were keen on grabbing the September 17 spot. It is said that Sri Thenandal films was looking forward to release the highly anticipated film Rudhramadevi on September 17. However, the buzz is that the the movie has been delayed further.

Puli boasts an ensemble cast – Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika, Sridevi, Prabhu, Nandita and Sudeep appearing in the lead roles, while Vidyullekha Raman, Robo Shankar, Imman Annachi, Aadukalam Naren and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles. Music director Devi Sri Prasad’s album has been widely praised by the audience and critics.
