Owner Of Jallikattu Bull Sends Notice To ‘Karuppan’ Team

A notice has been sent to the makers of Karuppan, and the film’s lead, Vijay Sethupathi. The owner of the Jallikattu bull (Komban) featured in the film’s motion poster, has alleged that the makers have used Photoshop and visual effects to make it seem like Vijay Sethupathi has subdued Komban in the film.

The film is set against the backdrop of Jallikattu, and has Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simhaa in lead roles.

Kathan, the bull’s owner, told reporters:

“I am taking care of this bull in the memory of my late mother. My bull has never been subdued. It has won all the jallikattu competitions in the last six years. So, when a film shows that Komban has been subdued, it is wrong portrayal. It has made me feel very angry and hurt. It has also hurt Komban’s reputation. So, in order to right these wrongs, the team behind Karuppan should come forward.”

A spokesperson for Vijay Sethupathi said that they were not aware of the details of the issue. AM Rathnam, producer of the film, was not available for comment.
