Nivin Pauly Likely in Gautham Menon’s Projects

Nivin Pauly may be teaming up with Gautam Menon for a project soon.

The actor is awaiting the release of his Tamil film, a remake of the Kannada Ulidavaru Kandante. Meanwhile, sources say that Nivin is in consideration for two projects – one which will be directed by Menon himself, and one under his production. It is likely that the director is keen on signing Nivin up for the Tamil remake of Pellichoopulu. Menon bought the rights of the superhit Telugu film in October.

Interstingly, both projects will be made only in Tamil. Nivin Pauly’s only Tamil film so far was Neram (2013), made in both Tamil and Telugu. But given the popularity of his films like Bangalore Days and Premam, Nivin Pauly has become quite a known face in Tamil cinema, much like his friend and counterpart, Dulquer Salmaan.

Nivin has finished filming the Ulidavaru remake. The film has Prakash Raj, Lakshmipriya, and Natty Natraj in important roles, and is directed by debutante Gautham Ramachandran. Nivin has a number of Tamil projects in the pipeline – a film with RD Raja’s production house 24 AM Studios, and one under Atlee’s production. He had also announced a collaboration with Anurag Kashyap. The actor is currently shooting for Althaf’s Malayalam film, Njankalude Naatil Oridavela.
