Meyaadha Maan, directed by debutant Rathna Kumar, will hit the screens on November 17. Bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj, the film is a musical romantic comedy, starring Priya Bhavanishankar and Vaibhav and has music composed by Santosh Narayanan.
Talking about the film, director Rathna Kumar tells Silverscreen, “This is a love story that goes to the bottom of the man-woman relationship. According to the story, a guy, who runs a light music troupe, an introvert, falls in love with a girl. The twists and turns that happen in their relationship with a musical backdrop forms the plot.”

Meyaadha Maan is based on a short film Madhu, which was directed by Rathna Kumar. “As the short film was well received, I wanted to make a movie on it. That short film was an identity card for me to approach a producer. We also have a song, Yes Madhu in the film.”
The film was supposed to hit the screens in September. “Many colleges had exams on September. As the target audience is college-goers, also Mersal is releasing during Diwali, we pushed the release to November.”
