Artist AP Shreethar announced this Monday that he would be producing a feature film, under his banner Sketchbook Productions. Titled Maiem, the film revolves around a bank robbery that takes place one night. The film uses the technical and artistic talents of college and school students.

The film is directed by Aditya Baskaran, a final year engineering student. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been written by AP Shreethar. Kaashif Rafiq, a second year college student who also happens to be AR Rahman’s nephew, is composing the music. The technical crew also includes costume designer Varuna Shreethar, a 10th grade student. The film features Kumaran, Suhasini, Jai Quehani and Robo Shankar in lead roles.
Maiem, is the name of an e-magazine run by Kamal Haasan. Haasan was pleased to permit his friend and colleague Shreethar to use the title.
