Kamal Haasan, while no stranger to controversies, is now in the middle of three simultaneous issues. He got into the bad books of the National Commission for Women for revealing the name of the actress who was abducted in February, even as Hindu groups protested outside his office for his role in the TV show Bigg Boss.

Haasan has complained time and time again about the corruption and inefficiency of the present Tamil Nadu government, which has now prompted SP Velumani, the Minister for Municipal Administration to threaten a tax audit order.

According to a Times of India report, the Minister was speaking at an event in Coimbatore, where he said, “I will conduct an audit to check if the actor had properly paid taxes for his films.” Velumani also said that the actor will have to prove his allegations of corruption.

A report in further Dinamalar speculates that Kamal Haasan may face arrest for repeated attack of the government.

Meanwhile, Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal has said that Kamal would have the full backing of the film industry.
