Kabali‘s audio launch, scheduled for July 12, is likely to have a soft launch with an Internet release of the music album. The film was earlier expected to have a grand audio launch event at the YMCA grounds in Chennai. However, a soft launch is on the cards as, according to sources, Rajinikanth is on holiday with his family in the US, and would not be available in Chennai on that date.

While the release date has not been officially announced by the team, earlier reports suggested that Kabali would release on July 1. However, according to sources, the release may now be pushed to the July 15, as the team is reluctant to plan a release during the period of Ramadan. Notably, another major film, Sultan, will release on the day of Eid, July 7.
Meanwhile, the Telugu rights of Kabli have been acquired by Shanmukha Pictures for a monumental Rs 30 crore.
Kabali stars Rajinikanth, Radhika Apte, and Dhansika. Actors Kalaiarasan, Attakathi Dinesh, Riythvika, Winston Chao and Rosyam Nor form the supporting cast. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations, the film has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
