Aval, starring Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah, released on November 3 and the Hindi version, The House Next Door, on November 10. It’s Telugu version Gruham will release on November 17. The team had planned to release all three versions on the same date, however, the censor certification process led to the delay.

“As a director, it was my dream to release all three versions of Aval on the same day,” says director Milind Rau. “But practically it was not possible. In hindsight, it’s good that the film is releasing on different dates, the positive reviews of Aval have given us good promotion for the other two versions.”

On the delay, Rau says, “We cannot say that the censor board caused the delay. It is a huge process and we should definitely adhere to it. Lots of films are there in the queue and we really cannot jump the queue. We had to wait and gets things done. Censor certificate is the most important procedure and we cannot blame them for delay. There were some formalities that had to be completed. Releasing the three versions made me feel that I have done three films now.”

“As Aval has garnered good response, we haven’t made any changes for the Telugu audience,” he added.
