Prabhu Deva’s Gulebakavali begins from where the yesteryear version of the 1955 film ended. The film borrows its title from the MGR starrer, and director Kalyaan has devised a special flashback sequence to connect the two, a source from the unit said.

Recently, art director Kathir was enlisted to help recreate Babylon’s famous Hanging Gardens for the film. The expensive set will be used to film an introduction song for Prabhu Deva. Several models from Bollywood will also be seen alongside the actor in the film.

Hansika Motwani reportedly plays a con-woman in the film produced by KJR Studios. Munishkanth, Anandhraj, Revathy have pivotal roles in this project that has music by Vivek-Mervyn.
