After a gap of nearly six years, ace comedian Vadivelu teams up with actor Vijay for Atlee’s Mersal. Vadivelu, who has, of late, been taking up lead roles will once again appear as a comedian in this film. Speaking exclusively to Silverscreen about his role in the film, Vadivelu says, “I play a full-fledged role in Mersal. I will be seen alongside Vijay throughout the film. I have done a comedy track like I used to earlier. We are currently shooting in Chennai, and I will work with the team till July 25.”
Vadivelu has worked with Vijay in many films, including Kavalan, Villu, Sura and Pokiri. “It is good to work with Vijay again after many years. He treats me just the same as before,” says Vadivelu.
There were rumours that Vadivelu had been injured while shooting a dance number with Vijay. He clarifies, “These are just rumours. I’m well.”
