Director Ezhil, of Thulladha Manamum Thullum fame, has begun shooting for his next project. Starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, the film is gearing up to release this Christmas. According to an official press release, the project will be filmed in locations in and around Karaikal.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was last seen in Gethu and Manithan this year, took to Twitter to announce the news:

This upcoming project will be bankrolled by Udhayanidhi’s production house -Red Giant Movies while the rights to the film’s music and background score have been acquired by Sony Music.

The film marks director Ezhil’s second release this year. His Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran starring Vishnu Vishal, Nikki Galrani, and Soori was screened in June this year and received mixed reviews. Like VVV, Ezhil’s film with Udhay will also be an ‘out-and-out comedy entertainer’. Actresses Regina Cassandra and Srushti Dange have been cast in major roles along with Comic Actor Soori. D Imman will compose the music.
Meanwhile, Udhyanidhi has a few other projects lined up this year. Udhay will follow up his critically acclaimed movie, Manithan, with a Gaurav Narayanan directorial. He also has an untitled movie with director Suseenthiran, in which he will be seen alongside actor Vishnu Vishal.
