Dinesh Kumar, who won the National Award for his choreography for Aadukalam in 2011, turns actor for Oru Kuppai Kathai. Produced by Aslam and Ramadass under Film Box Productions, the movie stars actress Manisha Yadav in the lead alongside Yogi Babu, who was last seen in Maan Karate. Dinesh was attracted to the storyline of the film and claims that the movie has ‘strong content’. “I really liked my character and I feel people will accept this new avatar of mine.” He says he plans to continue with choreography during his ‘free time.’
Kali Rangasami, former assistant to Director Ezhil, debuts as director with this movie while Mahesh Muthusamy who has earlier worked on films like Anjaathe pans the camera. Joshua Sridhar is composing the music for Oru Kuppai Kathai.
