Dhanush, who is promoting his film Velaiyilla Pattathari 2, walked out of an interview with a Telugu Channel, visibly annoyed at the anchor’s insistence on talking about everything other than cinema.
In the interview, Dhanush, who is always guarded about his personal, insists that they talk about cinema. “If you ask me the capital of state, I might not know. I have made my world around cinema and I know cinema alone,” he says. The promo of the interview shows Dhanush walking out when asked about his “alleged” involvement in the infamous Suchi Leaks case, and the “mental agony” he might have gone through.

“Mental Agony?” he repeats. He gets further annoyed when the anchor prods him about the controversy. “This is a really stupid interview,” he mutters, before taking off the mic.
The bizarre controversy over singer Suchithra Karthik’s Twitter account, which infamously began the entire Suchi Leaks hashtag, had targeted Dhanush repeatedly. From stating that he, along with composer Anirudh Ravichander, sexually assaulted her, to the account leaking photographs of the actors with other actresses, the entire episode was denied by the spokesperson for Dhanush. He was also silent when news of an elderly couple claiming to be his parents made headlines.

VIP2 is scheduled to release some time in August. Reprising his role as Raghuvaran from the first film, Dhanush will be seen alongside Kajol, Amala Paul, Samuthirakani, Vivek, and Saranya Ponvannan. The film is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, with music by Sean Roldan.
