The teaser of R Madhavan’s web-series, Breathe, on Amazon Prime is out and it definitely gives spooky vibes. The trailer shows a brooding Madhavan walking in a hoodie with occasional flashbacks that shows happy moments of him possibly with his family. His voiceover has a ominous ring to it and says that a parent will do anything for his child, even turn into a monster.
The thriller also stars Amit Sadh of Kai Po Che fame. This is Madhavan’s first outing on the digital space. A set of eight episodes as part of the series will release on January 26 and it will be available in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
That the digital platform has a growing market is evident from the fact that several cinema stars are now trying their hand in web-series, a format that is now competing with television shows.
Last year, saw the release of several Indian web-series featuring popular faces from cinema. Inside Edge, a web-series based on the IPL scandal, features Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Angad Bedi and others, is planning its second season soon. Rajkummar Rao’s Bose Dead Or Alive too received good reviews.
Rana Daggubati, Dhanush, Ram Gopal Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh will also have their own web-series as well.
