The 2.0 actress is said to be a staunch supporter of animal rights, and was even a part of a campaign to promote pet-adoption.

Amy, speaking to DNA about the movie, said that the film will go on floors soon. “I won’t act in the film. I will be speaking about my experience of making the movie. It will have a few real stories. I believe that cruelty to animals is a serious issue and it’s important that it’s discussed more.”

The Thanga Magan actress will share the movie on social media, and intends to send it to film-festivals as well.

The actress had recently experienced a “life-changing” incident which made her aware of animal cruelty. She shared a note on social media which read, “A 5-year-old female cross-breed dog in Malta named Star made international headlines in 2011. She had been found by Animal Welfare Department officers, shot at point-blank range and buried alive after being covered with cardboard and a tree trunk. She died later!”
