The shooting for the film, backed by Lyca Productions, is expected to start next month. Allu Sirish said that the dates he allotted for the movie clashed with those of ABCD, a remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name. “Keeping in mind the best interest of both the films, I volunteered to step down from the role. And the director K.V Anand Sir too has understood the issue and accepted my decision,” he wrote.

“I was really looking forward to being a part of this film, but will have to let I go. My best wishes always to the whole team. Hoping to work with this beautiful team sometime in the future.”

Reports have surfaced that Arya has already stepped in to play Sirish’s part. Mohanlal also stars in the movie. Sayyeshaa, Boman Irani, and Samuthirakani also have pivotal roles. Suriya 37 is the third collaboration between Suriya and K.V. Anand after Ayan and Matraan.

K.V Anand had shared the details about the cast and crew earlier this year. The music for the movie will be scored by Anand’s long-time collaborator Harris Jeyaraj and Pattukottai Prabhakar will crank the camera for the movie.
