Actress Radha of Sundara Travels fame received a death threat recently. According to the actress, a man named Vairam threatened to kill her if she pursued a relationship with Munivel. Radha circulated an audio recording of her conversation with Vairam. In it, Vairam claims to be a moneylender and tries to dissuade her from being in touch with Munivel. Things escalate after the actress dismisses him and asks him to confront her in person. An angered Vairam then threatens her. He says, “If you marry him, let’s see if you and Munivel stay alive after that”.
Interestingly, Vairam is a convict facing atleast a dozen different criminal charges. At present, he is lodged at Chennai’s Puzhal prison.
The actress plans to file a complaint with the Chennai City Police Commissioner soon.
According to reports, Radha has been in an extra marital relationship with Munivel for quite some time. Earlier this month, Munivel’s wife, Uma Devi, lodged complaints against the actress with Virugambakkam and T Nagar police stations. Soon after this, the Police summoned Munivel and Radha, and asked them to end their relationship.
“But Radha was not allowing my husband to live in peace with us. She called his mobile non-stop. She called my mobile too and abused me in unparliamentary language. She also threatened my daughter.” She also filed a kidnap complaint against Radha as Munivel had not come home for some time. “I searched in many places for him, but in vain. His mobile too is switched off,” she said.
Meanwhile, Vairam’s wife, Leena, has lodged a complaint at Kundrathur police station against Radha. In her petition, Leena has accused Radha of spreading false information about her husband.

This is not the first time Radha has received death threats. In 2013, the actress submitted a petition to the city police seeking action against Fizul alleging that he had been issuing death threats to her after she demanded that he marry her. “I have come out in public to lodge the complaint against him as I did not want other women to get cheated by him. We lived together for nearly six years like husband and wife without getting married. Only later I came to know that he was already married and had given a false name to me. He had told me that his name is Shyam while actually it is Fizul,” she said at the time.
Three weeks later, she withdrew her complaint.
