In Oru Kuttanadan Blog, Mammootty plays a troublemaker. He is a no do-gooder in the eyes of the villagers. As Hari, he rides around Kuttanad on a Bullet, his faithful gang of bros always maintaining one feet distance, out of reverence or awe we do not know. A jaunty background score (by Sreenath) accompanies Hari and his gang, as director Sethu sets the stage for the entertainer.
Everybody in the village has something to say about Hariyettan. Much of what is said is not flattering, but that doesn’t seem to faze Hari, who says early on that he has had a bad name, for things he has done and for the things he has not. A comment on the many controversies the actor has encountered in the recent past? May be.
In the trailer, some women are seen suggesting that Hari will eventually rescue them and the village. But not before, one of his bros takes a dig at the sexual assault case of a South Indian actor.
“Don’t say the name. You should call them victim,” he smirks.
This is in reference to the case in which a leading Malayalam actor got into trouble for naming the rape survivor last year.
Sethu of the Sachi–Sethu duo makes his direction debut with the film which has three female leads – Raai Laxmi, Anu Sithara and Shamna Kasim. As the title suggests, Mammootty plays the role of a middle-aged blogger and a role model to all the youth in the village.
The comedy entertainer also features Siddique, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi Venu, Adil Ibrahim and Jude Anthany Joseph.

The trailer is a series of scenes that taps into the public persona of Mammootty the actor. Because that is just what he needs right now. Mammootty has been around for decades and yet, he seems to be okay with that silly old ritual of glorification that is practically a staple in South Indian films these days.
Hari is a mentor to many young men in the film. Mammootty is in a position to mentor his fans off screen. But these avatars don’t have much to offer, especially when they still feel the need to be propped up as an idol.
