Box-Office Roundup: ‘Spyder’ Leads; ‘Hara Hara Mahadeva Ki’ & ‘Karuppan’ Do Decent Business

The three Tamil releases this week – Spyder (a Tamil-Telugu bilingual), Karuppan and Hara Hara Mahadevaki – belong to different genres. While Hara Hara Mahadeva Ki, an adult comedy, was panned by the critics, Karuppan, the rural-entertainer starring Vijay-Sethupathi, and AR Murugadoss’s Spyder opened to mixed responses. Spyder though, is dominating the box office collections and is set to reach the Rs 100 crore mark. Judwaa 2 in Hindi, Dileep-starrer Ram Leela and Malayalam film Tharangam are other major releases this week.
