CBFC Regional Officer Mathiazhagen has clarified regarding the censor issue of Thupparivu 2020. The officer says that some objectionable dialogue needed to be deleted from the short film. The makers submitted the DVD, at which point it was found that the National flag was shown without the Ashoka Chakra in four places. It was sent back to the makers for revision.The corrected DVD was not submitted again to the CBFC for the censor process.
Instead, the film’s director complained that he’d been denied a censor certificate.
